Reports to: Chief Engagement Officer

Hours: 5-10 hours per week

About Us 

Fair Game is on a mission to create realistic long-term solutions to the problems football faces. Fair Game is currently made up of 35 men's professional football clubs supported by industry experts and leading academics. 

Our aim is to transform football for the better. We want a sport where every fan can put their shirt on in the morning, proud of what it stands for, safe in the knowledge that the traditions and heritage of their club will always be there.

We want to see a better future for football with fan and community engagement, financial sustainability, good governance and equality standards at its core.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an Engagement Officer to conduct outreach to new clubs currently not interacting with Fair Game across the EFL Pyramid. The individual will be responsible for new business outreach, working alongside the wider engagement team to ensure first-class service to clubs.

Main Responsibilities

As one of Fair Game’s Engagement Officers, you will:

  • Identify new clubs within the EFL or National League pyramid currently not engaged with Fair Game or its initiatives.

  • Conduct outreach to raise awareness of Fair Game and sign up clubs to become Fair Game clubs

  • Assist with preparing partnership pitch decks, FAQ’s, letters, and other supporting material in line with the agreed commercial objectives. 

  • Work collaboratively with the wider engagement team, including the Chief Engagement Officer and the Deputy CEO, to ensure Fair Game’s engagement strategy is always evolving, ensuring the  club experience is at the heart of everything we do.

  • As an organisation, we believe that we are not perfect. We welcome creativity and will always strive to improve.    

What you will Need to Bring

  • Experience in an inside sales/account management role is desirable, but not essential

  • Previous experience with community club organisations and/or supporters’ groups is desirable, but not essential

  • Excellent networking and interpersonal skills 

  • Excellent IT and writing skills 

  • Attention to detail and good organisational skills 

  • Experience in negotiation 

  • You will likely be a keen football fan

  • A commitment to Fair Game’s values 

  • A passion to change football for the better
