Her book ‘Unsuitable For Females: The Rise of the Lionesses and Women’s Football in England’ was shortlisted for the 2023 Football Book of the Year award - and her new book ‘Woman Up - Pitches, Pay and Periods: The Progress and Potential of Women’s Football’ explores the challenges still facing the game globally. She has a PhD in sports sociology, and has published widely on women’s football, fandom, and the game’s history.
