    Carrie is a writer and academic specialising in women's sport and women's experience of sport. Her book 'Unsuitable For Females: The Rise of the Lionesses and Women's Football in England' was shortlisted for the 2023 Football Book of the Year Award. She has a PhD in sports sociology, and has published widely on women’s football, fandom, and the game’s history.
